Hello everyone — Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As we step into 2025, let’s take a moment to celebrate all the wonderful moments we’ve shared together in 2024. This past year, we released 52 new recipes and videos across YouTube, our website, Eastlink Community TV, and Facebook. Your unwavering support has been the foundation of our success—thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

2024 marked a special milestone for us—our tenth year of Bonita’s Kitchen. Our family has grown to over 92,200 subscribers, and our videos have reached over 6 million views! It’s amazing to see how what started in June 2014 has grown into a global culinary community.

This year was filled with exciting experiences:

  • We were guests on CBC Broadcast Radio, sharing ideas for meals made with frozen codfish.
  • Our Jiggs Dinner and cod tongues recipe was featured on the Canadian Cookbook website, celebrating the rich culinary traditions of Newfoundland.
  • We were also proud to be showcased on Eastlink Magazine TV for our Tea Buns baked in a Cast Iron Pan.
  • A new highlight this year was collaborating with our viewers to feature their family recipes in our shows! We even partnered with Baccalieu Trail Brewing Co. to use their brewed beer, Smoke Room Porter, in a homemade stew.

2024 also brought some exciting additions to Bonita’s Kitchen:

  • We launched our Amazon Storefront, filled with useful and lovely kitchen gadgets to make cooking even more enjoyable.
  • We introduced a paid membership program, welcoming supporters into our kitchen family to help keep our channel thriving.

We were humbled to have our website named one of the Top Newfoundland-Based Blogs by Feedspot for the second year in a row. This recognition means so much to us and reflects the love and support you’ve given Bonita’s Kitchen.

Bonita’s Kitchen isn’t just about recipes—it’s about sharing our passion for cooking and baking. Our cookbook, A Little Taste of Home,” continues to be a favourite, and we’re grateful to everyone who has welcomed it into their kitchens. We’ve also been honoured to give back through community giveaways and fundraising events.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to bring you more budget-friendly and delicious Newfoundland-inspired recipes. Keep an eye out for some exciting surprises from our kitchen, including a brand-new kitchen space we’ll be welcoming to the channel. 😊
