These broccoli and cauliflower I bought on a markdown so this makes it also an affordable meal. This other ingredients is things you will have at home in your fridge or cupboard.
Use any type of apples then peel and cut in cubes.
After add about 2 tbsp of lemon and toss together.

Ingredients
- Broccoli - 2 cups, chopped
- Apples - 2 peeled and diced
- Cauliflower - 1 to 2 cups
- Cranberries - ¼ cup
- Red onion - ¼ cup
- Bacon bits - ¼ cup
- Celery - 1 stick, chopped
- Sunflower or sesame seeds - ¼ cup
- Sweet relish - 1 tbsp
- Mayo - ¼ cup
- Mustard - 1 tbsp
- Sea salt - pinch to taste
- Pepper - pinch to taste
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 or 2 tbsp
- sesame oil or olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Paprika - 1 tsp
Instructions
Start by peeling and rinse cold water over the broccoli, cauliflower, celery, onion and apples. Chop broccoli and cauliflower in bite size pieces and dice the apples, onion and celery. If you don’t have sunflower seeds use, pumpkin, sesame seeds or chopped walnuts or nut of choice…
After you cut the apple put lemon juice over it to keep it from going brown.
Put then all into a bowl and add all the other ingredient’s except the paprika this is for the top to garnish, then toss salad together.
This is a healthy and tasty summer salad so get creative and add more ingredient’s you enjoy eating.
After toss all the salad into a fancy bowl for serving.
Bonita’s Tips:
Use any type of apple in season, also use mayo or miracle whip.
Red onions got a sweet taste but use a onion of choice.
Then same with the sunflower seed, use a seed or nut you enjoy eating.
Use dried cranberries, raisins, currents or dates, they all got a natural sweetness
