Pastry
Recipe:
2 cup white or wheat flour ½ cup Cold Butter
½ tsp salt ½ cup cold water
Method:
Mix flour, butter ( chop in pieces) and salt together in a bowl mix with your hand or food processor when mixed add water mix until it shapes into a ball then remove from bowl/mixer.
Put a piece of parchment paper on the counter and sprinkle with flour then cut the ball into 6 pieces then put your pastry ball on top of it then roll until about 6 inches long.
Double the recipe if you like to make more than 6 pastries and if you are using salted butter, don't add salt.
Make Meat & veggie pastry, after you have rolled out all the pastries, put one on the counter and add about 1/2 cup meat and veggie mixture on one side.
Then flip over the other side and pinch together the ends.
Continue doing this with all pastry dough and meat mixture, then preheat your oven to 375ºF and set the timer to 40 minutes or less depending on your oven.
Place all pastries on a cookie sheet with parchment paper, grease tops of pastries and put in a preheated oven.
After baking, remove from the oven and serve with whatever side dish or top with gravy. Also let cool and wrap for school or work lunches, rewarm in microwave or eat cold.
