Our PEANUT BRITTLE is made with peanuts and corn syrup, I'm sure there is a hundred ways to make this tasty little snack. But if you haven't made it before I have a simple step by step tutorial you can follow and a recipe posted below. 🙂
Plus a few photos to check out and follow along, the most important part about making home made PEANUT BRITTLE is you "MUST" have everything ready to go. Measured and in arms reach, the reasons for this you got no time in between stirring and pouring. So watch our short video and then get all your supples ready to go.

Ingredients
- White Sugar - 1 cup
- Corn syrup - 1/2 cup
- Sea salt - 1/4 tsp
- Peanuts - 1 or 1 1/2 cups, salted or plain
- Butter or margarine - 2 tbsp
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Water - 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Start by greasing a large cookie sheet. Set aside.
- You will need a heavy bottom saucepan, cook over medium heat, bring to a boil, corn syrup, sugar, sea salt, and water.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved then stir in peanuts, stirring occasionally.
- Put candy thermometer in place on the inside of saucepan and clipped to the pot, and continue cooking.
- Stir frequently until temperature reaches 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), or “TEST"  a small amount of mixture drop it into  cold water, if it separates into hard and brittle threads its ready for the next step.
- Remove from heat, immediately stir in butter and baking soda, pour at once onto prepared cookie sheet.
- With TWO forks, lift and pull peanut mixture away from you, then let cool.
- Snap PEANUT BRITTLE into pieces. ( Store in cookie jar, cookie tin, plastic bag or gifted.)
