Red Velvet Valentine Heart Cake

Cream your butter and sugar together first and then, alternate your dry ingredients and evaporated milk and vinegar mixture in three stages. Using a blender or your wooden spoon.....
Now you have a silky red velvet batter, you will need two round pans or two heart shape pans.
Scoop cake batter in both round pans evenly and spread out. Bake in a 350ºf pre-heated oven for 25 minutes or until baked.
After baked place on cooling rack for a few minutes before removing them from pans and then cut top off one cake and let cool to use for decorating.

Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour - 2½ cups
- Butter or margarine - ½ cup
- Evaporated milk or Butter milk - 1 cup
- White vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Eggs - 2 large
- Vanilla - 1 tsp
- Cocoa Powder - ¼ cup
- White sugar - 1 cup, or sugar of choice
- Sea salt - ½ tsp
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Red food colouring - 2 tsp
Instructions
In a mixing bowl add butter, sugar and sea salt then cream together until smooth, add vanilla and continue mixing.
In a small bowl crack two eggs and whisk together, add to wet ingredients and fold in or use a mixer.
In a measuring cup add one cup evaporated milk and 1 tbsp of white vinegar, then stir together. Keep to the side to add with dry ingredients in three stages.
In a sifter add flour, baking powder and cocoa powder, start sifting in with wet ingredients in three stages with your milk and vinegar mixture. Each stage stir ingredients together and continue these steps until all dry ingredients and milk and vinegar mixture is used and mixed together.
Next fold in red food colouring until resolved in with cake batter, you will need two round cake pans.
Line the bottom with parchment paper, cut to fit. Also oil the sides of the pans.
Scoop into each pan half of the cake batter and smooth out evenly, pre-heat oven to 350ºF and sit timer for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and place cakes on cooling rack, then when cooled remove from pans. See video for more details on www.bonitaskitcen.com
Cut top off one cake about a 1/2 inch across, then place top aside until ready to use, after flip cake over on plate and icing top. Then take the other cake and flip over using the bottom as your top. With a sharp knife cut a x in the cake but only just a print not all the way through.
At the side between two marks, cut on a angle only one piece off and the other side do the same only to make a point. This is for the bottom of the valentine, then at the other side of the cake icing side before you take both pieces and the cut off cake and place at the icing side of the cake to make a heart shape. Icing all of the cake and decorate with the extra cake you cut off, place pieces of cake in a baggie and crush to make crumbs. Sprinkle over cake or make heart shapes at the top of the cake or grate chocolate to taste.
Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
1- 8oz pack, cream cheese ½ Cup, butter or margarine
1 Tsp, vanilla 4½ Cup, powdered icing sugar
Method for Frosting:
- In a medium bowl beat together room temperature cream cheese, then add butter.
- After mix in vanilla and slowly beat in powdered icing sugar with blender until all combined.
