If you are looking for a jello salad or jello dessert you are in the right place.
This recipe today is two in one and what I mean by that if you are wanting to make a jello salad to have with a BBQ or Cold Plates Traditional Newfoundland Cold Plates, don't put the DREAM WHIP on top. But if you are looking for a Jello Dessert then put the DREAM WHIP on top and add Strawberries, then you will have a delicious dessert thats good for any occasion and today its for MOTHER'S DAY. 🙂
But getting back to our jello salad recipe, it is so easy to make. But you need time on your hands, if you can't make it in all one day you can split up the time. One day make the bottom let set for 2 to 3 hours and then that night make the middle and then let set over night for 2 to 3 hours. Unless you are home and then make it all in one day. Ingredients
- Jello - 3 packs different colours
- Crushed Pineapples - 1 - 398 ml can
- Cream Cheese - 2 packs 250 g or one large pack
- Dream whip - 1 pack
- Milk - 1/2 cup for dream whip
- Water - Hot and Cold, for jello follow method
Instructions
- You will need a square pan to layer the ingredients one at a time with a setting time of 2 to 3 hours BETWEEN, depending on your fridge it could be less.
- Then in a bowl add one pack of red jello, or whatever colour is the bottom, measure  1 cup of HOT water, stir together well, then drain your crushed pineapples into a bowl put to the side until the next layer, the drained pineapples pour in the bowl with your jello mix together add to square pan 9 x 9 and 2 1/2 inch deep, let set for 2 to 3 hours in fridge.
- In another bowl add room temperature or part warmed in microwave cream cheese mix well, then in another bowl add lemon jello and 1/2 cup hot water mix, Â then add the pineapple juice, continue mixing together and fold in creamed cheese.
- Add cream cheese jello mixture to square pan on top of the red jello, set in the fridge for another 2 to 3 hours before next step.
- Next pack of JELLO add 1 cup hot water mix well, then 1 cup cold water continue mixing and pour over the cream cheese jello layer, put in the fridge to continue setting before the final step.
- In a bowl add 1 pack of dream whip and follow package for mixing, or use whipped cream or cool whip.
