- Black or White Pepper - 1 tsp
- Sea salt - 1 tsp
- Onion powder - 1 tsp
- Butter or margarine - 1 tbsp
- Olive oil - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tbsp
- Garlic - 1 clove
Instructions
Supple’s:
1 pan, 5 x 9 2 sheets parchment paper
1 rolling pin
Method:
In a bowl add lean ground beef and toss in half teaspoon of all the seasonings, and fold in through the beef and place one piece of parchment paper, then add another piece of parchment paper on top of lean ground beef to roll out with a rolling pin.
In a frying pan add chopped onions, butter, olive oil, pepper and when it starts to fry add salt. Then open a can of sliced mushrooms and drain the liquid off, or sliced fresh mushrooms to the pan with onions. Continue frying until a golden brown and onions are cooked.
Back to the lean ground beef that's rolled out, remove the top parchment paper and add the fried onions and mushrooms to the lean ground beef and spread it out. Starting from the end closest to you, with the bottom parchment paper start to roll outwards and remove the parchment paper as you roll the beef outward.
After rolling all the way through with the parchment paper, lift the rolled meatloaf and place in the pan leaving the parchment there to help remove from the pan after it's cooked. Removing any extra parchment paper that's hanging over the pan.
Then add more sea salt and pepper over top of rolled meatloaf, place in a preheated oven of 350ºF for 60 minutes or less, depending on your oven. Remove from the oven after its cooked and let rest for 5 minutes before removing from the pan. By holding the parchment paper and letting it out of the pan.
Cut in slices and serve with one of three toppings, gravy, pasta sauce or cream of mushroom sauce. Whatever side dish you like, mashed potato, pasta, or rice.
Bonita’s Tips:
After opening the pack of ground beef rinse with cold tap water to clean off any blood dropping.
Let mushrooms and onions come to room temperature before adding to the ground beef.

Hi Joannie: Thank you so much for your lovely message and wonderful rating! We are so great you have been following our channel for a couple of years, we started Bonita’s Kitchen in June 2014 when our oldest son asked to know how to make homemade bread. He was in university and he said put it on youtube so I can follow it and also our youngest son was very interested as well. So having so many people enjoying our channel and recipes for their families kept our interest in helping anyone who was interested in our recipes and videos. So thank you and enjoy all our videos to the fullest. 🙂 Bonita
My husband and father are both happy to this meal. I enjoy it and massively appreciate how straightforward it is, using basic pantry ingredients.
Thank you very much.

I’ve made this a few times now, most recently last Saturday evening for my girlfriend Caroline and myself. I like to toss some gravy on top of it when serving. It pairs really well with potatoes, mashed, boiled new potatoes, roasted or fries.
Thanks for sharing!
