Stuffed Peppers

If you are looking for a tasty recipe for supper tonight, this is it!
Our stuffed peppers are made with lean ground beef, coloured bell peppers and rice, and so much more.
This is a very tasty meal and so easy to make, cut the tops off the bell peppers and then scoop out the seeds, wash with cold water to clean out any seeds and set aside while making your filling.
Mix together all of the ingredients in a bowl and stuff each bell pepper.

Ingredients
- Peppers - 4
- Rice - 1 cup
- Lean ground beef - 1 1/2 cups
- Egg - 1 large
- Onion - 1 small chopped
- Pasta sauce - 1 cup
- Garlic - 2 pieces
- Pinch sea salt
- Pinch black pepper
Instructions
1- Cut the tops off your peppers then place them to the side you will need them, scoop out all the inside of your peppers and put them and the tops in cold water.
2- In a large bowl add your ground beef, rice, diced onion, pasta sauce, crushed garlic, egg and a pinch sea salt and pepper, mix together with your hand and don't over mix.
3- Place your peppers upright and start scooping your mixture in each one pressing it down, but not to much.
4- Place your peppers in a roaster with one cup of water, put the tops on your peppers and place your cover over them.
5- Put the roaster in the oven and bake for one hour and half on a 350° temperature, check them half way through to see if the water have evaporated if so add more.
6- After they have cooked remove them from your oven and top with pasta sauce, serve with a salad and enjoy.
Please note, if you wish to cook these peppers in a slow cooker you can do the same work up , but put it on low heat let cook while you are at work, or put it in the slow cooker after work for two hours on high.
Allergens
This is a tasty meal and so easy to make, I have been making this recipe for over 40 years. You can also cover them with a cover and put the tops on after, this will keep them fresh. You can also pre cook the rice for faster cooking time, some rice do need a little more cooking time.
