Hi Lucy: Thank you so much for all your messages and for your continues support for my channel and website, I would love to share with you ways you can get my cookbook. This cookbook only holds some of my recipes at this time but it gives you access to all of our links and info on me and my journey. My cookbook is available on amazon https://www.bonitaskitchen.com/cookbook or through me but I’m waiting on a new shipment and that will be available the beginning of July. Just finished watch how to make β Pickle beets β and it brought back so many memories, of my mother
making it, and me watching her. But she left me 20 years ago, and I tried to remember how she made, but the results were never the same. But you showed me, her son, just what I had forgotten β use the beet juice water and heat the vinegar and brown sugar β Iβm getting excited now, to get home β vacationing inPortugal β and planting my vegetable garden, witch always included beets.
But I guess I can forgive myself I will be 84 years old this year.
Every time I watch one of your videos, it brings back, all the smells of my mothers cooking, witch are always welcomed by my memory and my nose.

Hi, several years ago, my friend visited Bell Island and brought back some delicious puddings. There was black pudding that I make quite often, a white pudding, but there was a spicier one that was delicious and was a color somewhere between the black and the white pudding. I’m told that it’s no longer being made but would love to have the recipe. Do you know the name if it and where I might get the recipe.
Hi Mike: Thank you for your message and for visiting our website, I’m not sure what type of pudding that was. But my mom is from Bell Island and I will ask her or one of her family members and get back to you. When you say pudding are you talking about a steamed pudding or the black and white sausage type. Hi Mike: I spoke with my mom and her sister regarding these black and white puddings and they said the man that makes them on the Island don’t make them any more. He would mix the two puddings together to make a black and white pudding, but there is a newfoundland store in Cambridge Ontario that sells these puddings if you live there.
