HI and welcome to our website, please make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy our recipe and video for tea-buns.
This tray of Teabuns got raisins in them and the size is a small 2″ round bun.
You also can roll them out and cut into scones or just mix it all together and take small pieces and roll into a ball and place on your cooking sheet. Anyway you shape them you will still have the same result, it will be so delicious you will love them.
This tray of tea buns got mandarins in them, I didn’t roll these out only take piece of dough off and place in the baking tray for a bigger tea bun.

These were delicious but I used margarine instead of butter and I had very sticky dough . Do you use convect bake or bake?
Thank you,
Sharon
Hi Sharon: Thank you for your message and for making our recipe, I love using butter in my tea buns and pastries because it work lovely. I’m not sure what your question is but anytime the dough is sticky just use more flour to bring it together. Have a lovely day,. 🙂 Bonita
I make these often and use 1/3 cup sugar and sometimes two eggs. My recipe is old and is called Scottish Tea Scones. Depending on the size of the eggs, sometimes a little more flour may be required. Delicious!
Thank you for leaving a message and for stopping by, I’m so glad you enjoyed our recipe and yours sounds pretty much the same. They are so tasty and easy to make for sure. 🙂 Bonita
