Traditional Newfoundland Turkey Casserole
Pre- cook your noodles in salted water for about 15 minutes, this is the only time you will get a chance to salt the noodles, then drain and set aside until you are ready to mix together with your other ingredients.
Cut the pre roasted turkey into small pieces or cubes also using the meat of choice. I love to use the dark meat because it's so moist and got a delicious taste.
This turkey casserole dish is supper easy and quick to make, prepare this dish the night before your planning on cooking it and store in your fridge over night covered.

I only have roasted turkey about three times a year so I guess I only make turkey casserole three times a year, because I only use roasted turkey in this dish not store bought. I also like to use the dark meat because it’s got tons of flavour and it’s a moist meat.
When you roast a turkey you can make so many wonderful meals with just one turkey, for example, turkey casserole, turkey soup, hot and cold turkey sandwiches, turkey pot pies, deep fried turkey and the list goes on. This is why I love to roast turkey so I can have so many options on what meal I’m making.
This recipe is enough for a family of four to six, if you would like more turkey casserole double this recipe and use two casserole dishes. I only have salt and pepper for seasonings in this dish but you can add different spices to your taste. That’s what’s so nice about this meal you can make this one with your kids and they can get creative and you can enjoy watching them make dinner.
I love the creamy sauce and cheese centre and the crispy crust on top, you can go back for seconds and thirds. Don’t believe me make this casserole dish for yourself and send me a message to let me know how you and your family enjoyed it, but be sure to add lots of turkey.
You can serve this turkey casserole with a delicious big toss salad or some steamed fresh vegetables, anyway you serve this meal you will love it and your family will be adding it to their monthly meal menu. My family will look forward to the many meals I would make from our roasted turkey.
This recipe for Turkey Casserole is featured in my new cookbook now available.
