TURKEY FRIED PATTIES

If you are looking for a recipe to use up some of your leftover turkey you are in the right place, I have many recipe available for you to enjoy.
You may need to cook two turkey's to make them all, haha that is the truth.
First I will share with you the method to this recipe for TURKEY FRIED PATTIES.
This recipe is made with pieces of your cooked turkey leftovers, chop about two cups of your leftover turkey or more.
Cook and mash some potatoes and add the turkey into the bowl with your mashed potatoes.
Fold together and scoop up a ice cream full of your mixture and form a flat cake, poke a hold in the middle and then add cooked stuffing.
After you make your stuffing bake in the oven for 15 minutes on 350ºF heat, remove from heat had a little more liquid from your boiled potatoes about 2 tbsp full and mix together. If you have leftover stuffing 'dressing' you don't need to make any stuffing.
Savoury is made here in NEWFOUNDLAND and LABRADOR and it is also available in other places called SUMMER SAVOURY.
If you don't have access to this herb use SAGE.

Ingredients
- Cooked turkey - 2 cups and chopped
- Potatoes - 5 or 6 cooked and mashed
- Onions - 2 small
- Sea salt - as needed
- Black or White Pepper - as needed
- Savoury or Summer Savoury - 1 tbsp
- Butter or margarine - 2 tbsp
- Cream or milk - ¼ cup
- Stale Bread Crumbs - 2 cups
- Oil - as needed
Instructions
Method:
First chop your cooked turkey, then place in a bowl.
In a medium boiler with water and a pinch of sea salt, start the boiling process and add peeled potatoes and one onion, cook until tender.
In a medium bowl grate stale bread and add one tbsp melted butter, 1 tbsp savoury, 1 small grated onion, pinch sea salt and pepper.
Mix all the ingredients together to make a stuffing ( dressing ) place to the side until ready.
After the potatoes are cooked, drain the water off and place potatoes in a bowl and mash, then add 1 tbsp butter, cream and a pinch of sea salt and pepper.
Add chopped turkey in with your potatoes and mash together, then using an ice cream scoop to scoop equal amounts of the mixture.
Put in your hand and poke a hole in the middle and add some stuffing, cover stuffing with potato mixture to form a patty.
Roll patties in flour with a pinch of salt and pepper or seasonings of choice.
Place your frying pan on a medium heat with some butter or oil, place turkey patties in the frying pan and fry until golden brown on each side.
Remove from heat and serve with the side dish of choice.
Bonita’s Tips: This is a recipe to use up some of your cooked leftover turkey.
Grated onions are better to use in this recipe then chopped, everything is already cooked it just needs to be fried.
