- Savoury or Summer Savoury - ½ tsp
- Sea salt - ½ tsp
- Traditional or fast rising yeast - ½ tsp
- Sugar - ½ tsp
- Warm water - ½ cup
- Olive oil - 1 tsp
Instructions
In a bowl add ½ cup warm water, sugar and yeast let rest for about 5 minutes. In another bowl add 1 cup of flour, sea salt, and oil, toss together.
After yeast have risen add to flour mixture and start mixing together, when it becomes sticky toss a few sprinkles of flour from the ¼ cup to blend together.
Kneading the dough to make a ball, cover and let rest in warm place for 20 to 30 minutes. After dough is ready, you will need a pizza pan.
Ingredients for toppings:
1 or 2 cups cooked turkey ½ tsp savoury
2 cups mozzarella cheese 10 each cranberries cut in half
¼ cup cooked bacon bits ¼ onion, chopped
See method below!!
Ingredients for sauce:
2 tbsp butter or margarine 2 tbsp flour
¼ tsp sea salt ¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp onion powder ¼ cup parmesan cheese
¼ block cream cheese 1 cup milk or cream
Method for pizza:
In a saucepan on a medium stovetop heat add your butter to the pan, let melt and top with flour. Mix around until it looks like a paste.
Slowly add the milk stirring the same time, add seasonings, parmesan cheese and cream cheese and continue stirring until all combined and creamy.
Add more milk or cream if needed to adjust the texture to a smooth creamy sauce.
Toss the cooked turkey in the saucepan and fold together. Remove from heat and let almost come to room temp. After the dough is made and risen and ready to use. You will need a pizza pan, lightly oil the pan and then add the dough. Spread out in the pan flattening it until the pan is covered.
Top with the turkey and cream sauce, then toss onion over that. Top with mozzarella cheese, cranberries, savoury and bacon bits. You can add more toppings if you wish.
Preheat the oven to 375ºF then add the pan in the middle rack and bake for 30 minutes or so…. When baked remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes and cut in 8 pieces.
