Hi everyone, Happy New Year!

As we step into 2024, let’s take a moment to celebrate the journey of Bonita’s Kitchen throughout 2023. It’s been a remarkable year with 52 new recipes and videos released across various platforms including our website, Eastlink Community TV, and Facebook. Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success – thank you!

Our tenth year has been phenomenal, with our family growing to over 88,000 subscribers and accumulating more than 6 million video views. It’s incredible to think how Bonita’s Kitchen, which started back in June 2014, is now a global culinary hub!

We’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with amazing teams, like Outfit Partners and Lupine Creative, who helped us reach a wider audience by dubbing three of our videos into Spanish and Portuguese. These include our Christmas Snowballs, Duchess Potatoes, and Coconut Partridgeberry Squares videos.

2023 was also a year of diverse experiences. We reviewed the London Sunshine Co.’s Food Dehydrator, an excellent kitchen helper. We celebrated International Soup Day with an interview on SaltWire and The Telegram, featuring our Beef Barley Soup. Our Jiggs Dinner recipe got a spotlight on Canadian Cookbook’s website in Jennifer Hills’ new cookbook, ‘The Foods of Newfoundland and Labrador‘.

Additionally, our Beer Battered Cod and Cod Tongues recipes were featured in Canadian Cookbook website articles, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of Newfoundland.

A highlight of the year was our website being named one of the top Newfoundland-based blogs by Feedspot. This recognition is a testament to the love and support you’ve shown us.

Bonita’s Kitchen isn’t just about recipes; it’s a platform for sharing our passion for cooking and baking. Our 2020 cookbook, “A Little Taste of Home,” continues to be a favourite, and we’re grateful to everyone who’s welcomed it into their homes. We’ve also been thrilled to contribute to our community through giveaways and fundraising events.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to bring you more delectable and budget-friendly recipes. Our commitment to connecting with more people and platforms is stronger than ever.
